  • How do I schedule In Car Training?

Call our offices at 951-587-2587 when you're ready to schedule. We will soon be offering self scheduling on our website. Please check back with us on when it will be launched.

The mandatory required 6-hour behind-the-wheel instruction is provided at the teen's convenience and around the instructor's schedule. We have over 30 highly trained and licensed instructors both male and female, including Spanish-speaking instructors. Our in car training consists of one-on one training, 2 hours per day for 4 days. We do not do Piggy Back or share the training session with another student like most schools in the area. If shopping around you should make sure you ask if they piggyback lessons. You do not want to put your child in any unnecessary danger.

Lesson #1: You should have just received your permit. We recommend you calling as soon as possible to get that 1 st lesson complete. You are not legal to start driving until you have completed your first behind the wheel lesson and get signed off by a licensed instructor.

Lesson #2: We recommend that you practice between 20-25 hours prior to doing your 2 nd lesson with us. It’s not mandatory but it’s recommended. This is a more advanced driving lesson and we want you to have some practice and more experience driving before we teach you the next set of driving skills. This is typically around the third month after your first lesson. Please allow 2-3 to get in with an instructor if you need to go after school or weekends.

Lesson #3: Unless you signed up for more than 6 hours of lessons this is the final behind the wheel lesson with your instructor. We ask that you practice at least another 20-25 hours and wait to save this one for right before your DMV Drive Test. This lesson is a full review of all our material and we go over what to expect when you take your DMV drive test. We will conduct a practice test with you to make sure you are ready. We ask that you do not book the DMV Drive Test until you have scheduled your final lesson with us. Please call us around 45 days prior to wanting to take your drive test.

Before a student can schedule in car training, tuition must be paid in full or if doing our payment plan option must be paid at least one class ahead.

  • I completed my Drivers Education with another school and obtained my permit. Can I take behind the wheel drivers training with your school?

Yes. As long as you have your permit you can take the behind the wheel training with any driving school. Click Here for our Pricing and Registration Page.

  • Do I have to come to your office for driving lessons? Where do you pick up my teen for In Car Training?

Unlike other driving schools in the area, you do not have to come to our office for lessons or meet us somewhere, unless you would like to do so or if you live outside our coverage area. We offer free pick up and drop off at the student’s home, school or work.

  • Do I use my car for the driver’s training?

No. All driver's training is done in one of our company owned Driving School cars that is equipped with a brake and rear view mirror on the instructor's side. We have twenty four 2016-2020 state of the art training cars. Most of our vehichles are Toyota Prius', Corolla's and Nissan Versa's.

  • Do you teach stick shift/manual transmission?

Unfortunately,  we do not teach Stick Shift / Manual Transmission lessons.

  • Do you offer lessons 7 days a week? What about evening lessons?

Yes. We provide training 7 days a week. Evening lessons are also available and are an important part of the learning experience. Our lessons times are from 7am to 8pm.

  • How long is each lesson?

Each lesson is two hours long. Private One-on-one instruction, One Instructor – One Student.

  • Do I need my own insurance to drive with one of your instructors?

No. You are covered under our commercial insurance policy when you are in our training car.

  • Are parents allowed to accompany the student during training?

Unfortunetly we do not allow parents to come along. It creates unnecessary stress on the student driver. We have also found that it makes students more nervous.

  • Are your instructors state-certified and background checked?

Absolutely! All instructors go through a rigorous process that includes an extensive background check including finger printing, health check, testing, and California state certification.

  • Do you have both male and female instructors?

Yes. We have both male and female instructors.

  • Do I have to go with the same instructor for all my lessons?

No. We have over 30 licensed and bonded instructors that conduct lessons. If you wish to have the same instructor just let the office know when scheduling your next lesson.

  • I live in a remote area of town. Can I still register with your school and will you still pick me up?

Yes, If you live in a remote area we can still do your behind the wheel training. However, we will need to set up a location to meet that is near our area or you can meet us at our office.

  • I live on a dirt road. Is this a problem?

We do not allow any of our student instructor cars to drive on dirt roads, no matter how paved it is or how short of a distance. If you live on a dirt road, please tell us and we will set up a meeting place down the street from your house that is on a paved road.

  • I lost my permit. Can I still go on the lesson?

Yes and No. You must have in your possession a valid California temporary license in order to drive with us or with anyone in the State of California. It is against DMV policy to take any person on a lesson without a California Provisional Permit and we could lose our license. If our instructor shows up and you do not have your permit you cannot go on the lesson. This will be considered a late cancellation and you will be charged a $50 Cancellation Fee. We suggest you make several copies of the permit so that if you lose one or forget one that you have a spare. The instructor will ask you to try to get one faxed to us or we may be able to take you to get it if it’s a different location. This time cannot be made up so please make sure you have your permit for each lesson. If you cannot find your permit, you will need to go back to the DMV and have them re- issue you a new one. Some drivers have student licenses with them and we can issue one of these but there is a processing fee of $25 to issue this temporary license.

  • If my permit expires and I have not finished my driving lessons, do I need to start my training all over again?

No. Unlike other schools whatever hours you have completed with us will carry over to your new permit.

  • What if we need to cancel an appointment for in car training?

No problem. We understand things come up. However, cancellations require a 24 hour notice. You can cancel a lesson by calling 760-690-3702 or 951 587-2587 during business hours or a $50 fee will be assessed. If you get our voice mail or are calling after hours to cancel a lesson, please make sure you leave the students name, lesson date and time and that you want to cancel. All of our calls are time stamped and tracked so a voice mail will be sufficient to avoid the cancel fee. This policy is strictly enforced. No Completion Certificate will be issued until all fees are paid. Click Here for a complete list of our Driving School Policies.

  • Why do I have to pay a $75 Cancellation Fee if I don’t cancel before 24 hours?

This is a policy that ALL driving schools have in place. Because of the nature of our business there are significant cost involved in coming to your location and blocking off 2 hours of our time including instructors time, gas, etc. as well as the ability to have someone else who wants to go in that appointment time. If given enough time, we will make every attempt to fill that appointment time. In the case we do, you will not be charged the $75 fee. But to avoid any fees, please call us prior to 24 hours of your lesson appointment time.

  • What if you cancel on me prior to 24 hours or the day of the lesson, do I get paid $75?

Unfortunately, that is not how it works. We rarely have to cancel a lesson and if it does happen we try to accommodate the student within the next few days to get them in with an instructor. We have over 30+ instructors and can usually have another one cover a schedule if someone has to call off work. We do reserve the right to change instructors if one gets sick or cannot work that day.

  • Are there other students in the car during my driving lesson?

Absolutely not. All instruction is one-on-one. One student – One instructor. If you are shopping around make sure you ask when calling other driving schools. The majority of the schools do this and it’s called piggybacking.

  • How far in advance should I schedule In Car Training?

At this time, after school and weekend appointments are filling up fast. We typically let a student schedule out a lesson no more than 60-90 days with the understanding that the date and time can be moved if the instructors schedule changes. If this happens will of course give you ample notice.

  • It’s passed my appointment time and my instructor is late. What do I do?

Put the phone down and don’t panic. No need to call us just yet. We understand your time is valuable that is why we give our instructors a 15 – 30 minute gap in between students so they can get to you on time. Since we are not in control of traffic and mishaps on the road we cordially ask that you please allow our instructors a 15-30 minute window to arriving for your lesson. If they are not there 30 minutes after your appointment time, fell free to call us.

  • When will I receive my Behind the Wheel Certificate of Completion?

You will receive the 6 Hour Drivers Training Certificate of Completion (DL400) after completion of your 6 hours with an instructor. No certificate will be issued until all fees and tuition is paid in full.

  • I lost my Certificate of Completion. Can I get another one issued to me?

Yes we can definitely issue you another certificate but if you need it to show the DMV for proof of completion you will need an original so it will have to be mailed or you may pick it up during business hours at our Temecula Valley Driving School office located at 43264 Business Park Drive, #107 Temecula 92590. You must call prior to coming so that we can get it ready for you. There is a re-issue fee of $10 for all duplicate certificates issued.

  • What do your Instructors teach on a driving lesson?

All of our driving school instructors follow a strict curriculum set in place by the State of California, which include teaching the rules of road as it pertains to driving. We also teach sharing the road with others such as: Bicycles, pedestrians, motorcycles, large trucks, construction sites, slow moving vehicles & railroad crossings along with other tasks related to driving taught at our school are that critical to know. We also do freeway driving, which most schools do not teach. Making the lessons meaningful to our students is a very important goal to all of our instructors. Click here for a more detailed list of what we teach on the lessons.

Our in-car driving lessons are tailored to teach you the skills that you need to improve on in order to be a better driver and/or to pass your DMV driving skills test.

During your DMV driving road test, there are several skills that you will be expected to perform competently (some skills like freeway driving are not on the road test but we teach it.) These driving skills are not only useful for passing your test but for maneuvering California roads and all drivers should be able to perform them. You'll learn to drive with licensed instructors who will patiently teach you:

    Basic maneuvers

    Safety procedures and devices

    Entering traffic safely

Lane position and sharing the road

    Turning and intersections

    Adjusting to traffic flow

    Parking and backing maneuvers

    Freeways and multi-lane roads

    And much more!!!

Click here for more of what we teach.

  • Do you sell Student Driver magnets?

Yes. We have them for sale at our office for $15 including tax and shipping.

  • What options are available to teenagers who want to drive?

There are two options available to teenagers.

    1. The Standard California Permit Option (15.5 to 18 years old)

After you complete driver’s education you can go to the DMV and take your permit test. After, you can schedule your 6 hours of in-car training with one of our licensed driving schools.

    2. The Student License Option (15 years or older)

Once you complete drivers education, you can still start in-car driving lessons now even without a permit.

Some teens find it hard to find time to go to the DMV to take their written permit test. If you're in the same situation or if you simply want to save yourself a visit to the DMV, you can start drivers training right away through student licensing. However, you still have to wait the 6 months after you get your permit so it best to get your permit as soon as you can.

Our driving schools are one of a few schools in California authorized by the DMV to issue student licenses to individuals who meet the following requirements:

Be at least 15 years old (and provide proof of birth date). If you're under 18, have completed a drivers education course and received a Certificate of Completion or are enrolled in our Integrated Drivers Education Program.

Pass vision and hearing tests (administered by one of our instructors).

Pass a rules of the road test (administered by one of our instructors).

Fill out and sign the OL 800 Application.

Please note: a student license allows you to drive only with a licensed instructor and not with your parents or guardians.

  • What form of payments do you take?

We take all types of credit cards including Debit, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We also accept Cash, Money Order and Cashiers Checks. We no longer accept checks.

  • Is my credit card safe to use online?

Yes. We use only the latest security technology to protect your Internet transactions. To ensure your privacy, your credit card number is never kept on file, and we'll never share your information with anyone else.

  • Can I get a refund after I register?

No. Just like most all other driving schools there are no refunds after you register. So please make sure you want our services prior to registering. Click Here for all our Driving School Policies.

  • When is behind the wheel drivers training required?

Anyone under the age of 18 years of age must complete 6 hours of behind the wheel training with a licensed driving school under the supervision of a certified instructor. Additionally, the student must have 50 hours of supervised driving practice, including 10 nighttime hours and hold their permit for a minimum of 6 months before they can test for their license or be 18 years old.

  • What areas do you service?

We are a family of 8 Driving Schools servicing the North County San Diego Area from the 56 freeway up to Fallbrook and the Temecula Valley Areas including all the way up the 15 to Lake Elsinore and up the 215 to Perris, including all cities in between including Hemet and San Jacinto.
